About This Blog

I'm a tools developer by trade, geek by nature, linux novice by birth, and guinea pig by choice. I decided to switch my work laptop to Ubuntu (8.10 was my first version) after growing tired of the sluggish lump of molten metal it had once again become thanks to Micro$oft.

Ubuntu really is Linux for Humans, or, in my case, Linux for Keysers. I haven't looked back since.

I started this blog to chronicle some of the day-to-day joys I've had since switching, both good and bad.

I must add a disclaimer: The nature of my work networking environment requires that I use Winblows for many activities. That, and I'm required to write a fair amount of end-user tools in VB.NET. Due to these items, I can't completely cut the cord, but my laptop no longer has the bug known as M$FT on it. I use RDP for any WinXP activities and hate every minute of it.
